A corrugated plant pulls board through a corrugator, a printing press, a die-cutter and a folder-gluer at several hundred metres a minute. Quality at every one of those stages rests on the judgement of operators whose craft takes decades to acquire — and who are retiring faster than they are being replaced.
Foldeon puts that judgement into software. Vision and sensor data from each machine feed agents that hold print registration, brand colour, board strength and fold accuracy inside specification, and then write setpoints back to the line rather than raising an alert for someone else to act on.
Because the platform spans machines from different vendors, it sees the whole run at once. A fold defect showing up at the gluer can be traced to moisture and tension decisions made at the corrugator an hour earlier, and corrected there.
The result is measured in the numbers a plant manager already reports: board and ink waste, makeready time, customer claims, and overall equipment effectiveness.
Why we invested
Most industrial AI stops at the dashboard. It watches the line and hands the decision back to an operator who is already fully occupied. Foldeon writes to the machine. That is a considerably harder product to build, a considerably harder one to displace, and every run it supervises makes the next one more accurate.
