Ambient clinical documentation has been built, repeatedly, for large hospital systems with large budgets. Community clinics — which deliver most primary care — were left with the same keyboard and the same two hours of evening charting.
Cobalt Health builds for those clinics: priced for them, deployable without an IT department, and tuned to the messy reality of multilingual, multi-condition primary care.
Clinicians using Cobalt report recovering most of their documentation time, which the clinics have largely reinvested in seeing more patients.
Why we invested
Renee still practises one day a week. Founders who remain close to the work build products that survive contact with it. The decision to serve community clinics rather than chase health-system contracts was a positioning choice we found genuinely brave.
